The only job I have had as a lawyer is Trial Lawyer. I am proud of that title. I have worked for insurance companies defending their customers – mostly physicians – for 23 years.
After having participated in around 100 trials and having taken more than 60 jury verdicts, I am uniquely qualified to give something back to the civil litigation community and am the most qualified candidate for judge of the 55th Civil District Court.
My experience as an Adjunct Professor of Trial Advocacy at the University of Houston gives me valuable experience and insight into the trial process.
Trials – and especially jury trials – are the cornerstone of Democracy. Access to courts is a vital check on power in all forms. We need to bring balance and accountability to our Harris County Courts, assure access to the courts and fair trials for all litigants. I will maintain and do what I can to enhance judicial independence. |
